Omutninsk Metallurgical Plant
The Omutninsk Metallurgical Plant is a oldest Russian enterprise of ferrous metallurgy. It was founded in 1773 after the decree of the State Berg-Collegium to the lieuntenant-colonel Ivan Osokin to construct a iron-making plant with a blast furnace, a blomery mill (factory) with 6 hearths and 6 steam hammers. The steel-production process was similar to the one used in the old Ural plants.
At the present time the joint-stock company "Omutninsk Metallurgical Plant" is a compact enterprise with the non-complete production cycle specialized in hot-rolled shaped sections and steel Steel special sections of complicated section which are used in automotive industry, machine-building, machine-tool construction, instrument-engineering, household goods production, etc.
Cold-rolled steel high-accuracy shaped profile is rolled steel bars got by cold forming (by pressure) and corresponding in cross-section to the off-the-self component. The roughness of the surface Ra< 2.5, accuracy h 9 to 12. The length of rolled steel bars , the grade steel and technical requirements are established as agreed with the customer.
The plant manufactures elevator guides for passenger and freight lifts according to the Russian and international standards ISO 7465. Among the main buyers of the production are lift-constructing plants, The OTIS company and others.
The quality of production is guaranteed and supported by Certificates of the State Standard of the Russian Federation and of the Naval Register of the Russian Federation. The plant's quality management meets the requirements of and registered within the international ISO 9001 certification scheme for approved quality system.
Among our partners are VAZ, GAZ, KAMAZ, ROSTSELMASH, Krasnoyarsk combine plant, UAZ, Karacharov mechanical plant, Scherbinsk lift building plant and many other small and large enterprises. The plant has worked out and realizes the technical reconstruction programme to reduce production costs and to fullfil the customers' requirements.
